  E-SOURCE for College Transitions is a complimentary biannual electronic newsletter published by the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition. Its primary purpose is to provide practical strategies for supporting student learning and success. Articles on a variety of topics related to student transitions are welcome, especially those focusing on:
  • Teaching strategies in the first college year
  • Strategies for addressing the sophomore, senior, and transfer transitions
  • Proven institutional initiatives
  • Strategies for assessing student learning, experiences, programs, and courses
  • Exploration of transition issues related to campus type
  • Alternative funding sources for curricular initiatives, programs, and services
  • Programs addressing the needs of special student populations
  • Short reviews of new and relevant print and online resources
The newsletter is published twice a year in October and March, and the online subscription is free. Readers also have access to an indexed archive of published articles. Sign up to receive e-mail alerts as the new issues become available.
